State of the Schools Set for October 15

CUMBERLAND, Md. – September 17, 2026 – The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce and Allegany County Public Schools (ACPS) will host a State of the Schools presentation on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Cumberland Country Club. 

Doors open for gathering and sign-in at 8:30 a.m., with the welcome and presentation by Superintendent Michael Martirano, Ed.D., beginning at 9 a.m. The event is a unique opportunity for community members, educators, and local business and nonprofit leaders. It is a first-time program from the Allegany County Chamber.
